In a dark, widespaced and mysterious atmosphere, the voice of the Icelandic artist Bergrós feels cold yet sensual, transmitting a goosebump atmosphere backed just by intelligent percussive effects and a minimal bass/beat structure. The track feels like you have been trapped in the world of Bergrós, and now its HER time to tell you whats going on. With the roomy effects used, you can’t always tell where all those percussive things are happening around you, which scratches on the surface of making you uncomfortable. Yet I found myself really hooked on those fragile but also dangerous vocals. This creates exactly the feeling of not being able to get someone out of your head. And there you have it, folks: transmitting emotions is the most vital part in creating successful music, and boy, with “Criminal” the outstanding singer/songwriter Bergrós gets the job done big time.
