SHOKO – Cheers To My Ex
The new release of Danish artist SHOKO is both filled with soul and sweet redemption. While the lush bass line fills the room with groove and a certain sunglasses-at-night cool vibe, its the vocals that spread the word with this awesome seen-it-all attitude.
Dealing with surviving a toxic relationship, the track knows how to transmit how it feels. You really can’t fake this honest and down-to-earth core of the tune. While the track lifts you up after you fell down so to speak, there’s also this melancholic ‘I know how this feels’ vibe present. In the end, it’s exactly this vibe that makes the tune so irresistible. Of course, this laid back groove does its part as well to make this tune really enjoyable in the end. The fallout of a break-up never sounded better in my opinion.
