Guy Paul Thibault – Send Me An Angel

It’s always better to search for hope than to lose yourself in the dark.

The new release of Canadian singer/songwriter is build on its cornerstones honesty, emotion, empathy and passion. The backing, consisting mainly of a calm and steady rhythm, an energetic rhythm guitar and an innovative bass line, paves the way for the ultra-honest vocals of Thibault. They are done with a certain melancholy, but not one that feels heavy-hearted, no. It’s more of this feeling most of us know, when you got hit bad by life. In my opinion, this track is the anthem of anyone who needs that uplifting notch when everything isn’t looking so bright. The melodies and the message reminds the listener that it’s always better to search for hope than to lose yourself in the dark.

Maybe it’s the message, maybe it’s those extraorinary violin and guitar solos that really give the track a special glow, maybe its the calming and honest voice of Thibault – whatever it is that makes you listen to this track on repeat, ‘Send Me An Angel’ has that secret ingredient to stay in your head a long time after you heard it.
