Track Review

Johnny Franco – Tell Me Something

One word, capital letters: FRANCOGROOVE.

Taken off the newly released EP ‘Experience Report #1’, this song of Johnny Franco knows how to instantly inject some groove into the listener. Seriously, this track feels like walking down a crowded road in mid-summer with a big smile and sunglasses on. In slow-motion, of course. I love the honesty in which this track was done. The main theme brought to you by this no-shenanigans guitar builds a groovy base for these ultra-honest vocals. Those are warm, melodic and attached to this boyish fun vibe transmitted along.

‘Tell Me Something’ has kind of a vintage retro flavor. The handmade music makes the song very believable, the rhythm is groovy, the melodies and the vocals are easy-going and fun, and the extras are adding a bit of a live feel. This is how music has to feel. You can catch the essence of the artist if you pay attention. Plus this release can be enjoyed everywhere: at work, stuck in traffic (there, of course, loud and with windows down), at home while dancing with your loved one, in the kitchen while cooking, under the shower, you name it. Multipurpose, thy soundtrack is ‘Tell Me Something’.
