The Sweet Kill – Suicide

Time for some melancholic dark tension.

With a driving beat, a haunting bass line and some soundscaping extras, this track off the 2019 released album “Neon Black” of american multitalent Pete Mills builds a great dark and uncomfortable atmosphere. The music transmits sort of a ‘chasing’ vibe, pushing the listener forward into this maze of thoughts where there’s no escape. The vocals are done really intense, with emotion and passion on the right ends. The track makes the listener feel lost, motivated, helpless and confident at the same time. I love when artists manage to leave it up to the listener what to feel.

There are two things that really fascinate me with ‘Suicide’. The feeling attached to the track – and the fact that this track, like all the others of The Sweet Kill, was done by one man. That’s right. This is a one-man project. Imagine all of the ingredients originating from the same place. If this ain’t awesome, nothing is. You gotta combine creativity, boldness, talent, musicality and a ton of work to come up with music like this.
