Vince Adler – See Your Face Again

With an ultra-honest approach, the new release of Vince Adler showcases what the canadian singer/songwriter is all about.

This track has many aces up its sleeve. Starting with a very defensive piano/synth setting and those emotional fragile vocals, the track picks up speed with a groove-packed rhythm and intelligently placed percussion. One of the highlights of the song though is that soft warm synth melody happening during the chorus parts. This melody somehow injects a ‘good-old-times’ almost retro-ish flavor into the tune. (And the synth solo happening in the second half of the song is an innovative thing of beauty.) Along the passionate vocals, this reflects the main lyrical theme of the song perfectly. The mix of the track is well-balanced, warm and beautifully crisp on the higher eq band ends.

“See Your Face Again” first and foremost is belieavable. I think the feelings transmitted through the vocals come from the heart of the artist, and the playful approach of the backing music reflects how the musician approaches music (we’re talking curious science here, not methodical linear progression). Whether you’re watching the sun go down thinking about everything or slowly dancing with your loved one, this one is designed for you.
