ZILLION, Hyro The Hero- Devil

Uh, this one goes deep. With an unmatched intensity, highlighted by ruthless aggression, the new release of ZILLION creates a dark and ill-fated atmosphere. It’s a surrounding that you both want to escape from and enjoy with a grin and the knowledge that this won’t end well anyway, so you might as well have fun going down.

With today being one of those days where the world simply is trying to take me down, this tune was exactly what I needed. So there I was, headphones on, volume up to max, and ready to fight. “Devil” uses several melodic and rhythmic elements that usually don’t go along too well. But in this case, the tune creates this unique vibe. There are edgy and harsh synths teaming up with melodic guitar melodies, there’s an emotional voice tagging with intense screaming. Everything that seemingly won’t match is put together into an awesome theatre play, picturing a certain mindset that isn’t transmitted often out there in the industry.

And that’s what I love about the track. It’s raw gritty energy. Its intensity creates goosebumps while everything seems to slow down to what they call bullet time. The ruthless nature of the sound searching for a contestant ready for the task. This awesome description of a certain mood set is the kind of storytelling that I need and want out there.
