Manpreet Kundi – salvage

This vulnerability. This vulnerable setting is the central point of the new release of singer/songwriter Manpreet Kundi, and what an intriguing one it is. With a fragile vocal appearance done within a lonely and heartbroken atmosphere, the track aims to be felt, and it sure succeeds.

In this glassy and seemingly minimal setting that blends piano with strings and airy extras, the created scenery feels like a dark void you were falling in slow motion. The created feeling shifts very gently between broken and self-aware, a testament to every broken-hearted human out there who went through the same. I’d like to call what’s happening here a “core honesty”, a non-shenanigan reflection of the soul world – and in the end, that’s what makes this track unique. It’s the ability to transmit honest feelings in a signature styled unprotected way. This is nothing less than the life itself you’re listening to.
