Thia Vittek – girl next door

In a very emotional and fragile fashion, the new release of Slovakian singer/songwriter Thia Vittek spreads a special kind of vulnerability. I love the signature honesty that is transmitted by the ravishing vocals of the artist. In what feels like kind of a lonely atmosphere, the vocals are supported by a soft piano and supporting seemingly minimalistic strings to create a void that leads to this unique atmosphere in “girl next door”.

Being about a friendship of the past, this tune is a great example how to transmit a whole emotional landscape with only the necessary amount of elements in a song, and with an emotional expression that hits the mark. Sometimes words are the most powerful when they are whispered, not yelled.
