Thirsty Curses – Jenny

Okay, I gotta admit, this is one of the few times where the song is as valuable as the video coming with it. What really caught my attention in the new release of American rock trio Thirsty Curses actually wasn’t the laid back tune but the fun and so what-way in which the video was presented.

While the tune tells it story with a relaxed vibe that feels emotionally undertoned but is always served with a smile, it’s the video that leaves a mark. Being a tribute to classic crime films such as Natural Born Killers, Bonnie & Clyde, and Pulp Fiction, the video has this special carefree component attached, making it an enjoyable work of art. And the music forms the perfect soundtrack for the pictures.

I love the outside the box way of telling the story here. “Jenny” is delivered with both handmade honest music, and a handmade video that doesn’t take itself so damn seriously. Retro-flavoured indie rock with a signature styled twist.
