Alyssa Caroline – Bright Side

The new release of american songwriter Alyssa Caroline contains a really interesting blend of genres, but also of emotions.

The track takes its time to deliver, and while the setting would best described as future pop, there’s a lot more hidden in the track. The almost minimal backing feels natural and soft although at the same time electric and crisp. There’s this perfect balance happening between human vibe and energetic electro twist. This is topped by those awesome vocals loaded with emotion and passion, yet also with a playful amount of -let’s call it- melancholic curiosity due to these extra vocal tracks, be it high-pitched reverbed one-shots, or these cold-metallic harmonic tracks which don’t feel so cold after all once you get used to it.

I love the unusual mixture of ‘Bright Side’. It takes time to get used to the atmosphere in the track, but once you adapted, this track really is something to close your eyes to. I feel the track on a intense level, thanks to the ultra-honest approach of both the vocals and the less-is-more backing.
