The Bergamot – Periscope

With content that was filmed over a span of three years, the video to Periscope gives a glimpse of what the guys of The Bergamot encounter on their journey as musicians out there. Once again, I was enchanted by the honesty and natural approach of both the music and the video. To a certain degree it feels like visiting old friends when you listen to songs like ‘Periscope’.

Backed by a warm and slow melodic base, the vocals transmit this honesty that tells the listener ‘life’s not always peachy, but good. And when I share it with you, it’s all I ever wanted’. I am blown away that due all these times, through all ups and downs, Nathaniel and Jillian still haven’t lost their romantic point of view in life. This is shown both in these carefully selected pictures and the emotional approach in the song itself. (If you don’t think this is true, mute the video and just look at the pictures. See? The same intense emotional message as the music has. You gotta love this carefulness in music.)
