Simon D James – Over and Over

This track is made for a quiet evening. Hard day at work? Stressed out? Nevermind, let Simon D James take control over your headphones.

In a comfortable setting, “Over and Over” tells you the story in a very honest approach. Using handmade backing tracks, the vocals are really feeling genuine and soft. And when harmonized with the female vocals every now and then, they are something to fall in love to.
The track doesn’t rush to get the message through, and while it does contain a build-up, adding some energy over time, it overall stays true to the main theme. I like that the track feels like a cup of coffee. Be careful not to take it in too quick, but if you know how to handle it, it’s the best thing in the world at the right time. All over again.

Being the second track of the recently released EP “Days of Heaven”, this track is one of those that define the signature style of James in my opinion. The alternative rock singer/songwriter has many nuances of rock in his arsenal, but one of the foundation stones is this honest, soft approach the listener will fall in love with in an instant.
