Chloe Lilac – Special

Get ready for a chilled, laid back groove that’ll stick to your head instantly. The newest track of Chloe Lilac indeed is “Special”.

I got to admit, I was in love with the vocals from the first seconds on. Backed by a groovy rhythm, a guitar and a handful synth and effect tracks, the Brooklyn based singer/songwriter has that unique kind of …let’s call it ‘careless attitude’ in her vocals. It’s part lush, part sassy and part Beck. “Special” is that laid back type of song that makes me forget about the daily problems at work, unpaid bills and urgent projects for a couple of minutes. It feels like visiting a spa for your ears.

With a stacked schedule of performing live, the career of Chloe Lilac continues to be probably one of those every musician dreams to have one day. In my opinion, not only her newest song is “Special” – the singer/songwriter is special as well. The track being taken from an upcoming EP, there already are new tracks waiting in line to be released. I’m curious what’ll be next.
