Sea Girls – Violet

It’s time to move, guys. What starts like a pop synth track, gets you off your seats in no time, guaranteed. Meet Henry Camamile, Rory Young, Andrew Dawson and Oli Khan, better known as the Sea Girls.

What attracted me the most with this song is the energetic vibe along the upbeat rock theme. It’s almost somewhat punkrock-ish, but stays in the alternative rock genre, even adding some synth tracks to the menu. The vocals are done passionate and with ease, although some of the higher notes are not too easy to handle for singers (heck, I couldn’t even handle the lower notes to be honest). The official video is backing the uplifting positive energy of the sound. In a time where handmade music has to fight to stand its ground against electric auto-tuned one-day wonders, with “Violet” the Sea Girls bring a huge weapon to the fight. They handle this solid rock track as if it was flowing through their veins. I guess these guys were simply born to do this.
