Glass House Point – Wash Me Over

Feel that? There’s this undeniable lush flow happening in the new release of American alternative indie band Glass House Point. This release feels smooth as silk, light as a feather and floating as morning fog in the woods.

And it’s exactly this appeal that fascinates me about “Wash Me Over”. You’ll find a rich arsenal of elements in this tune. The guys did a masterful job of blending several elements into one big bowl of awesome vibe. There’s guitars, synth pop-ish rhythm constructs, processed silky vocals, floating soundscapes, and intriguing room reverbed sceneries to find here, just to name a few. In a way, this track feels like a night full of dreams. The track tells about oppression and vulnerability, changing pattern, form and function like a chameleon in the process.

While for some bands out there it’s too hard to even put together a linear tune, Glass House Point managed to create a storybook full of impressions. This tune starts with a mysterious float and drags you through the night with energy and an unmatched pace. Yet the tune never gets hectic or unstructured. How they did it? I have absolutely no idea. But I’m not here for the technicalities anyway. I’m here for the feel.
