Being one of the releases back from 2020 of German composer and pianist Robin Elster, this tune is a timeless storyteller. With a playful melody and a warm and comforting atmospheric approach, the track aims not to be a melancholic trigger. For me, this track serves as a catalyst to allow your head to think about things that arrived and left, about everything that stepped into your life, and either stayed, or moved on. With light and cheerful melodic progressions, “Desire to Love” was intended to picture a loving atmosphere mixed with a driving force to love and be loved.

Yet for me the track is way more than that. It’s a door opener to look back with a smile on what once was was, and it also makes you look ahead with excitement and positivity. Of course, not everything will be perfect along our paths, but the track emphasizes that it might as well be all good in the end.

And this is what makes this tune so addictive. It’s this lighthearted component that feels free, youthful and innocent. Not loaded with fear nor prejudice. Holding its balance of acknowledging the tasks ahead, but willing to take them on with passion and an ever-growing positive attitude. As you can see, the tune can be felt as much as it can be heard.
