Harry Nathan – Alright

This is a dreamy theme that evolves into a slow, funky and danceable track. So far, so good. But to be honest, the music (although rock solid) wasn’t the sole reason to write a review. It was the sandwich/croissant love story. (Curious? You’re in for a treat.)

The Sydney based multitalent Nathan has many aces up his sleeve, he’s a producer, singer/songwriter and wedding DJ. Along this groovy disco-ish funk track, he proved that he is also a director of romance films. As a music video of “Alright” he did that awesome gig that shows a sandwich falling in love with a croissant.
Yeah, you heard me.
I love the fun and playful, yet effective way he and a couple of friends set up this video. In this world filled with serious issues to handle, it’s good to know that there are people out there who bring some smiles to the table. Plus Harry Nathan did that in a real creative and not superficial way. For example, when my wife saw the video, after she stopped laughing (THAT took a while), she stated that “that sandwich has a lot more personality than the croissant”. See what happened here? Enough substance in this video to actually humanize the “actors”. If this isn’t creative, then I don’t know what is.
