Valerie Warntz – We Will Never Be Together

With a quite minimalistic electro setting, the stage is set for the fragile vocals of singer/songwriter Valerie Warntz. While the song slowly progresses, the icy atmosphere reflects the serious lyrical message of ending a relationship.

I’m drawn towards the unique vocals of Warntz, who can switch between vulnerable and hurting and strong/uplifting in an instant. The track contains an awesome percussive concept along the very defensive synth backing. But nevertheless  what really stands out are those vocals. Seriously, a break-up never sounded so good.
The young singer/songwriter from England creates slow, emotional ballads as well as more energetic, driving themes. Clicking through her arsenal on Spotify, I realized that no matter what the main theme of a song is – if she feels it, she’ll bring her heart and soul into it.
