Cap Carter – Gold

Boy, this tune is loaded with emotions. Australian singer/songwriter Cap Carter went all in with his heart and soul on this one. With a signature styled melancholic base, the track really wastes no time to aim directly for this vibe we all are afraid to feel.

You cannot stage this kind of honest output. With a sad and beaten down undertone that changes to giving-in desperation and even raw and untamed aggression back and fourth, the track describes almost painfully detailed all the emotions a break-up brings along. You experience every nuance in ‘Gold’, and while it’s awesome to feel the tune so detailed, it’s also a thing you got to process for a moment.

This track won’t just tell the story, it screams the story in your face at times then show you all the shattered feelings that are caused by a break-up. The visuals coming along the song emphasize on the emotional aspect by capturing the essence in very detailed pictures. You can see and feel the loneliness, the restlessness, and the absence of light and hope in this video. Reading Carter’s bio, life played the worst deck of cards to him more than once, and he didn’t just emerge from this. He worked through it and even created music that contains his emotions. And I’m pretty sure that there are little pieces of his soul woven in between the single tracks the tune is made of. Like I said, you cannot stage this. You gotta live through it to tell about it.
