Jacqueline Loor – I’m Done With You

Being all about the moment when you know you are done with a relationship, the new release of Jacqueline Loor takes an emotional swing at the listener. Once again, singer/songwriter Loor knows exactly how to transmit every ounce of emotion with her vocals in a lost and broken scenario where everything feels painfully final.

Just listen to this. THIS is a walk for the door that will ring in your ears for years. Loaded with both the hurt/bitterness AND the confidence/self-awareness, the track somehow manages to tell the story with an almost ‘angelic’ undertone, yet far away from being shy or indecisive. While the backing scuplts an atmosphere that builds confidence and ‘light’ as the track progresses, so do the vocals and the supporting tracks. The track makes no secret about the heartbroken vibe that any break-up brings along, yet there’s also a very solid statement woven in, leaving no doubt that enough is enough.

You know me guys, I’m a fan of Jackie Loor and her work for quite some time now. Most of her songs connect with me for exactly that emotional intense core they are built around. With ‘I’m Done With You’ it’s no different, while there’s a shield build around the vocals through the backing, the track starts fragile yet ends indestructible. It’s this unique way of storytelling that it’s all about in music. If you have something to tell, THIS is exactly how to do it.
