Dance Yourself Clean – Tell Me If It Hurts
Check out this groove. This is as relaxed and lush as it gets, and at the same time it’s energetic and uplifting. The new release of LA based project Dance Yourself Clean is filled with a saturated bass, playful synths and emotional female vocals.
Yet this alone doesn’t make an awesome tune, right. What I love most about ‘Tell Me If It Hurts’ is the way how the single elements are blending into each other. No matter if there are one-shots, piano breaks, synth arpeggios, playful arpeggiated extras or melancholic vocals, everything is working together in this tune like a complex well-designed machine. Imagine this tune on the main stage at some big venue – with the extras happening, the tune stays in constant motion, as the listeners do as well. With a well-rounded mix, there’s this exciting atmosphere created that changes form and pattern every other minute, just to surprise with the fact that everything still fits. The main theme stays the same, yet the rules change fast. You gotta love this playful AND emotional approach.
