Steve Drizos – Take You Home

This track, taken off the album ‘Axiom’ of singer/songwriter Steve Drizos, carries a very honest uplifting vibe. With that positive spirit, the tune knows how to pick you up once you’re down. And it sure knows how to that, considering it’s a tune written to describe the healing perspective of a caretaker to a cancer survivor.

The track starts defensive and held back, this feels like the moment someone enters the room in the morning not trying to talk too loud when waking someone up. With this defensive approach, over time there’s confidence built. And this confidence is the secret weapon of ‘Take You Home’, the track both acknowledges the situation without downsizing, yet it also has a relatable ‘we’re together in this’ moodset. And this ‘I’m with you’ statement is gaining energy and momentum as the tune progresses. What starts as a soft ballad, evolves into a soft yet decisive fighting anthem with a ‘we did it’ undertone. You gotta love that this tune spans a whole palette of emotions.
