Thirsty Ear, Carlo Minuta – Black in Mind

This might feel cold, dark and unknown at first, but once you adapt, it’ll be awesome. You’ll see.

With a pulsating and methodical beat, the atmosphere is slowly build like a sleeping creature that slowly awakens from its dream. Due to the mysterious textures and the soundscaping dampened synths, the track has something attached I only can describe as a ‘relaxed curiosity’. We’re talking distant galaxy vibe here. Everything feels odd, yet strangely familiar. I love how the track carries a certain wisdom in between the slowly progressing melodies. Backing and main melody merge into each other, enriched with percussive elements and even techy foreign objects that keep that special mysterious ingredient in the track at all times. It’s this extraordinary mix of method, melody and groove that makes ‘Black in Mind’ a great chilled tune where you’ll find yourself floating in. The pictures the tune is attached to only brings in one aspect of the methodical beauty of this song in form of the balance of nature. But if you close your eyes, you’ll find out that the track contains a dozen different scenarios. At least.
