Crux – Living in Dystopia

There’s something special attached to the new release of Newcastle based band Crux. It’s raw, it’s harsh, and it’s brutally honest. There’s a drive present that feels edgy and almost uncomfortable, the processed vocals are slowly driving you mad while the rocking guitars and the unforgiving rhythm inject this ‘on-the-run’ vibe, as if you had to run for cover from what’s happening round you.

And there you have it, the main reason why I love ‘Living in Dystopia’. The relatable core. If you ask me, this tune is nothing less than the working class anthem. With a certain honest, no-shenanigan way the message is delivered with the exact amount of uncomfortable undertone that you can expect when you look at the world outside your own four walls. Think of this track as a wake-up call with some psychedelic ingredients and an urgent message.
