Monelise – Sliding Worlds

Ice cold. Pulsating. Dark. Lost. I don’t even know where to start describing the new release of Monelise, but as soon as the first notes hit, this track somewhat fascinates me. You’ll find electronic mysterious sound textures in there, as well as haunting etheral vocals that fill the room with dark crystalline particles like falling snow.

What I love most about ‘Sliding Worlds’ is the signature ‘worlds end’ vibe attached to it. With a certain unforgiving drive and those distinct yet fragile vocals, the sound builds a complete atmospheric environment with seemingly minimal effort. But be aware, nothing in there is a coincidence. The whole costruct is designed carefully to create that exact extraterrestrial soundroom. Containing futuristic and oldschool elements, the sound feels like it has been around longer than mankind. Evolving slowly but steadily, the tune knows how to transmit this special relaxed and sophisticated textures. Listening to this with closed headphones and closed eyes will take you into the mind of Monelise, and believe me: this is a trip you won’t forget quickly for sure.
