Kite – Changing

Grab on to something. This ride will be rough, but worth it. The new release of Swedish band Kite creates an energetic electronic atmosphere that feels driven, cold-metallic and dark. Taking you on a ride from which there seems to be no escape, the harsh synth textures strap you to your seat, taking you to a destination unknown.

I love the environment that’s created through the backing. This slowly picks up tension and density to feel more and more threatening towards the end. The vocals sitting in the shadows are ranging from emotional to desperate, from lost to vehement, as if they were fighting the cold happening in this scenery. This electronic concept of change feels authentic and probably does picture perfectly what is happening out there during these times. You know me guys, I love having a tune telling me a story, and ‘Changing’ lets me experience the feeling of uncertainity first-hand.
