Mezhdunami – Anodized

Someone in the mood for relaxing tonight? I just found the greatest track to listen to while closing the day. With “Anodized”, producer Mezhdunami lets you float in an ocean of somewhat vintage synth melodies.

The lithuanian synthwave electro producer has that certain dose of retro attached to many of his tracks. With ultra-warm synths, ducking effects on all the right places (check out “Meteor Shower” for a dose of how it’s done right, folks!), and irresistible melody patterns, he invites you to relax and ride on the wave of sound. Some might say that his track progressions are somewhat linear and monotone, but I think this is done in a way that makes the music chill and steady, but never boring in the process. What starts with a simple synth chord evolves into a warm groove, best enjoyed over closed headphones. Mezhdunami creates an atmosphere inside of your mind with these several layered synths along a soft yet driving beat/percussion set. This atmosphere is set somewhere in between deep space and enchanted forest. While the track takes its time to progress, I think this slowed down beat is perfect for relaxing after a stressful day, or just for watching the sun set at the beach with a smile on your face and with your head slightly grooving along the beat.

Being available on all major platforms like Spotify, and having released several EPs already like “Warm Frequencies” and “Beyond and Back“, I think Mezhdunami has just started to open the door to the world of electro pop out there. With his versatility and the signature retro-ish sound, we can expect big things to come from his studio. Just keep an ear on what he does next. I know I will.
