Bad Flamingo – Dead Man’s Hand

The strangers are back in town. With an ice-cold undertone, once again the girls of Bad Flamingo know how to make heads turn with a mysterious apperance of their track.

There’s this ice cold groove, courtesy of this deep raw drumset, and what I like to call the ‘wild west guitar-setting’. I love the fact that Bad Flamingo stay true to their genre, not once leaving their defined path – yet they still manage to keep re-inventing their tunes. Now, I admit that I’m not a fan of every song of these two, but what I AM a fan of is that in every song you’ll find a certain twist, something that makes the tune differ from the others in their repertoire, without going too far away from the base theme they incorporate. This time, it’s the lush and sassy confident presentation that amazes me with ‘Dead Man’s Hand’. The guitar makes the temperature rise to sweaty noon setting, while the vocals feel calm and calculating. I just love it when a song paints such a detailed picture for you.
