This tune is really intense for me personally, because it perfectly hits the mark of a problem that is very common out there. But it does so in the most danceable way there is.
The electro atmosphere created by the crisp rhythm set and these dark warm synths feels familiar, but also a bit cold-metallic. Done in this fashion, it reflects the overall moodset and theme of the song perfectly. On top of that scenario you have these emotional vocals that are carrying just the right amount of melancholy to not feel desperate or broken, but sad in the most honest way there is. What draws me to this song is the fact that I can relate. This isn’t a random problem nowadays. It’s common, and ‘like a ghost’ is a sad reminder of this fact. But who ever said that such a problem can’t be transmitted with energetic electro tunes and a irresistible groove hasn’t met Washington based multitalent hrishi yet. I love the duality of the song’s intentions, it’s carrying a deep meaning, while transmitting it with this light, almost playful flavor attached.
