Eat Your Own Head – Pig

Like a page taken out of the book of life.

You gotta love the raw, untamed energy in this tune. This live take stands for everything that is rock music, for everything that is the essence of musicians doing their thing. Hearing ‘Pig’, I immediately thought ‘man, I’d love to play with these guys’. And here’s why.

There’s an undeniable chemistry happening with those guys. You can not only hear it but also there’s an energy level that’s adapting to the situation and mood of the song. The sound is raw, it’s unfiltered, and here’s the kicker – it’s as honest as it can get. These wild outbursts of kickass, the changes of pattern, rhythm and sassy groove, the tension that’s being built between the single instruments – try to stage that, and you’ll fail miserably. Within these 3.5 minutes, you have guys working together as one. Guys who react to what the others do. To release the beast and put it back to the cage. I get goosebumps when I can hear and feel the energy transmitted through this edgy and raw tune. This sound feels like a page taken out of the book of life. Of course a more intense one, but that’s the beauty of life.
