BTM Project – The Maze in My Mind

As expressive as it gets.

I really love the way the atmosphere is created in the new release of BTM Project. With handmade elements, carefully placed in a wide reverbed room, the sound feels playful and borderline uncomfortable at the same time. Most of the time the surrounding feels tempting and soft, with some awesome chill moments as if they were added carefully like salt is added to a meal.

It really blows my mind how this tune manages to seamlessly blend emotion, vibe, and melody into one scenery. This is evolving like a curious theater play, starting from soft and vulnerable to almost desperate in an attempt to keep composure. You can feel something lurking in the shadows. You can’t see it, but it’s there. You cannot hide from it. Feel that? What makes the tune so awesome is the fact that it creates a somewhat torn feel between passion and helpless desperation, all done through the powerful composition. No pressure, the tune keeps calm and steady, with the tension coming from the expressional power of the single instruments and, of course, the ultra-believable soft vocals. Long story short: this, my friends, is it. The grand stage. The big screen. (For your ears.) As expressive as it gets. A piece of the heart and soul of the artists. Nothing less.
