The Reveal – She’s Bad

Handmade storytelling in style.

This sounds really different. Or does it? I don’t know. This track somehow caught me off guard. Can you feel this mighty groove originating from the lush bass line along the jumpy rhythm? Can you feel the futuretro character of these vocals, feeling both wiseguy-ish and carefree youthful-ish? Taking a look at the three guys who made the sound, I had a hard time believing that such a matured sound originates from them. It’s as if all of them are reborn old rockin’ souls who found their way back to the scene because they are not done yet. Not by a long shot.

With a handmade and honest base, the tune uses good, old rockin’ elements to make you move, and there’s an unbelievable cool vibe present throughout the song that is just producing goosebumps. I love the fact that music like this is out there. This relaxed, groovy, nothing-to-lose way of storytelling has somewhat ‘faded’ in the last years, making way for some more hybrid kind of song, but ‘She’s Bad’ feels like a statement. This tune states loud and clear that music like this still IS a thing, and probably will be forever. This tune is best served ice cold and with an evil grin.
