Peat Residents – The Open Sky

Pure and honest soulfood.

This slow and heartfelt ballad brings back some good old days. You know, when things were easy. Everything was bright, warm and just okay. With a soft and calm backing, the vocals feel ageless and as nurturing as the advice your grandparents gave you on their porch back when you were a kid.

Anouk and Robert, the duo better known as Peat Residents, know exactly how to deliver their message with a warm and emotional vibe. As smooth as silk, and aiming directly for the heart and soul. I love that the track doesn’t try to sell you anything it’s not. This feels pure and honest, done in a fashion that is popular for as long as there is music now. I just love the clean and positive message that is spread with ‘The Open Sky’. In the harsh times we are living in right now, we desperately need music like this. A tune that tells us what to do, a tune that helps us keep our heads up high and look into the future with a smile, even when it’s the hardest thing to do.
