LA Solution Center – My Piranha

Time to put on safety gear, guys. Time for you to put on an evil grin, and to get this baby playing in the car stereo loud. TOO loud.

The new release of Canadian alt rock collective LA Solution center has a really dark and gritty soul. We’re talking desperate screams, distorted guitars and a dedicated fat rhythm here. Just when I thought there wasn’t such music out there anymore, these guys restored faith by hitting the ball out of the park with this methodical pressurized piece. Within three minutes, the sound of ‘My Piranha’ convinces you to press the pause button on your life, and if you want to, drive around a deserted city with sunglasses on. At 3 am if needed.

I just love the raw and honest emotion coming along with this tune. The core feeling ranges somewhere in between ‘so what’ and ‘make me, or die trying’ while those vocals merge with the backing to a brick wall of sound. Every now and then, it’s important for music to not carefully reach out to the listener. Sometimes it has to hit you in the head like a shovel.
