Trey Warner – Paradise

The new release of Trey Warner contains more than meets the eye. The sound is an awesome mixture of electronic and handmade elements, in an atmosphere that is a perfect mixture of future and retro, where those powerful vocals feel like a beacon of light in a dark surrounding. I guess it’s this combination that really makes the sound feel authentic and believable.
In a strangely familiar environment, the vocals feel somewhat soulless and static, yet below the surface you can feel the desperation, the energy and the power. There’s this certain ‘drive’ present throughout the sound that really makes the listener feel kind of restless and not really settled, a perfect sound description of the battle when fighting addiction. The sound hits the mark with creating the moodset for what the track wants to achieve.
