Patient Hands – Opening

Nothing less than a glimpse of the artists’ soul.

With ‘Opening’, the listener is invited to do a little soul searching in my opinion. The track carefully builds a soundscape that is rich and full of single elements, some seemingly happening by accident, some by structure. The track slowly evolves from ‘nothing’ to ‘light at the end of the tunnel’, so to speak. With ethereal synth tracks, the tune builds a massive room of epic proportions, while there are some percussive tracks adding something I like to call ‘glitter’ to the tune.

There’s a certain melancholic base core present throughout the track, that actually is lifted by the melodic progress as well as these sparkling elements tht shine through the layered atmosphere like rays of sun after the rain. Moodwise, there’s a lot happening in this track. In the end, this is what makes the track of Canadian multitalent Alex Stooshinoff aka Patient Hands so intriguing. It’s the captured emotional essence of the music. The listener is granted nothing less than a glimpse of the artists’ soul.
