Track Review

Gnarwhal Jrz – Take Me Home

Got some rock? This track surely has a load of it.

This new release of Gnarwhal Jrz injects a great amount of good old vintage rock into your veins. For me, there’s a special kind of melancholy blended in the tune, it feels like good old times, but it’s done with a lightweight and not-so-retro style. The video along the track adds even more fun to the tune.

You’ll find this versatility in the jumpy bass line, the driving and energy-loaded drum patterns, the guitar backing and, of course, in the melodic and passionate vocals. I love the fact that the track is done in this seemingly carefree way, it feels fresh and vintage, even a bit edgy at parts. But overall, the track contains a certain serious groove. ‘Take Me Home’ will make you move, and it eventually will make you sing along.
