Evan Castle & The Southern Tier – Hazel Eyes

This track is my personal road movie theme.

It’s plain awesome how the track takes its time with a slow steady beat and those calm, defensive guitar tracks to build a solid foundation for the vocals. Those feel down-to-earth and honest, they are transmitting emotion and honesty without going too energetic or persistent. The base setting of the tune feels warm, with a slight vintage vibe attached.

‘Hazel Eyes’ feels just like the real deal. It’s the mixture of instruments and vocals that haven’t anything to prove to the world out there. They’re there, and they’re doing their thing. I love when I’m able to instantly connect to the emotional core of a song, and this is what happened here. The tune feels ultra-believable, and no matter what you do, you’ll fall in love with those rocking guitars and emotional vocals right away.
