Douglas Shea, Harmonee – Blue Green (This Time)

The new release of Douglas Shea and Harmonee has something special attached.

Maybe its those ultra-soft, harmonic vocals happening in there, maybe its the awesome synth surrounding that builds a floating scenery around the listener, I’m not sure. What I’m sure of is that the sound is warm, emotional and feelable. The synths are defensive enough to back but not disturb the vocals, and the light and playful melodies are keeping this signature styled melancholy in the tune without sounding too heavy-hearted.

‘Blue Green (This Time)’ is an uplifting song. During these difficult times, this track is a beacon of light to close your eyes to, to take a deep breath and let the rest of the world stay outside for a couple of minutes. The emotional and soft approach made me relax and slowly groove at the same time. The production is an absolute thing of beauty, every single element is where it has to be to have the maximum effect in the song. THIS is how to deliver a message in a calm yet ultra-effective way.
