Notelle – Come For Me

Careful now, the atmosphere of this release will give you goosebumps instantly.

I was blown away by the dark, icy and mysterious scenario created by the new release of Nashville based dark industrial artist Notelle. Listening to ‘Come For Me’ feels like you just stepped through a door with just a black void behind it. With perfectly processed vocal one-shots, a silver-ish melodic progression and those oh-so-haunting vocals, the song creates an atmosphere that really feels like the room temperature just dropped several degrees. (closed headphones are mandatory, guys.)

The melodies feel like you are wandering through your own mind, while the vocals guide you like the only option you have to ever escape this scenario. And they do so with a special signature soft and lush approach that makes them feel warm and familiar, yet glassy and detached at the same time. This duality adds even more of this uncomfortable but awesome ghostly feel.

In my opinion this track showcases what Notelle is capable of. Using electro base elements, she takes her time to deliver without ever being too linear or too foreseeable. This slow approach and the resulting maximised effect show that the american multitalent absolutely knows what she’s doing.
