Grand Commander – Calm Down

This track is more of a therapy for me than it is just a great track to sing along to.

With an ultra-soft approach regarding vocals and backing, the new release of Grand Commander feels like lying on your bed, staring at the ceiling, letting your head do the rest. The vocals are done really honest and warm, reflecting this awesome mood mix of melancholy, passion, intensity, helplessness, overwhelming thoughts and a ton of other nuances of emotions swirling around in your brain.

I love that ‘Calm Down’ is something to enjoy on several levels. The video brings those crisp and very natural pictures that make you see yourself like looking at a mirror in a place called ‘life’, while the slow and melodic track makes you enter this comfortable thinking state as you hum along to the chorus. I can identify with this type of music and its intention, and in my opinion, that’s one of the most important thing there is in music.
