AARYS – Talk

The atmosphere in the new release of AARYS is giving me permanent goosebumps long after the final note has been sung.

This ultra-fragile and vulnerable room that is created by the soundscape synths and the reverbed vocals reflects a really lonely and lost environment. With the song being about mental health and dealing with anxiety, this song is showing the surface of what its like living with it.

To be honest, ‘Talk’ hit me unexepectedly hard. Those helpless fragile vocals triggered a helpless state in me as well, you can relate to that lonely and unforgiving feel but you are not able to offer a solution. Like a spotter, you’re damned to stand by and listen to the vocals tell the story in silence and with an unbelievable intensity. I believe every second of the song because it just feels so honest while using minimal effects. Those widespaced synths create a cave with no walls in sight, while the reversed vocal oneshots feel like all those little voices in your head trying to mess with your mind. This song isn’t meant to be your next happy dance pop track, it aims directly for your mind without ever being judgmental nor bitter.
