Andee – Cruel

Taken from the EP ‘One’ which was released back in 2019, this track is outstanding electro pop with some unexpected elements up its sleeve.

The track has a slow and calm base for those hot vocals. Backed by a laid back rhythm and a relaxed synth, those vocals feel energetic and emotional. During the verse parts the story is build carefully, until the song erupts during the chorus parts. That’s when this unexpected high pitched energy-packed singing takes place, meant for raising not one but both eyebrows. (See, THAT’S how to construct a wow-moment.) If you aren’t moving by now, you will with the arrival of the chorus. For me, there’s also sort of an almost retro disco vibe feelable in the high quality production.

‘Cruel’ brings both a danceable vibe and a melodic and passionate element to the table. The soft and laid back approach makes the song quite a versatile tune for many occasions. The pulsating warm flair of the song feels addictive. Being a perfect blend of electro and handmade/human elements, the track contains certain signature elements sticking to your head instantly. There’s also a french version available which adds even more erotic and exotic flavor.
