Fransoafran – Hearthside

A peaceful melody, lead by a violin and backed by a cello and a warm and softly played piano. The new release of Francois Mathian, better known as Fransoafran, tells you its story like a book.

A carefully composed and arranged theme paints pictures in your head like an artist does on a canvas. For the Sydney based multitalent though, the canvas is the imagination of the listener. With highly emotional and passionate melodies and an intense expression in the playing technique, the song lets your mind wander through all the thoughts you never knew still existed in your head. I love the fact that this track is unique for every other listener, because it allows you to give it your own meaning while you let the soft tune have an effect on you.

Creating music like this takes time. It takes passion. It takes work and feel, and, of course, a huge amount of skill. For me personally, the track triggers the feeling of something that’s dear to you, something you love. Probably having to leave loved ones or the beloved home behind you, embarking on a journey for something new. There’s this intense emotional heavy-hearted element to find in there, but also there’s an uplifting, bright undertone to find. Like I said before though, this track can and will be interpreted differently by any other person who listens to it. This is an absolute thing of beauty in my opinion. This versatility is one of the highest goals to accomplish as a musician in my opinion.
