The new release of Glasgow based producer Andrew Bates is something to feel on all levels.

Building a widespaced reverbed atmosphere, ‘Emotion.’ knows how to inject a mighty amount emotional vibe from start to finish. The dreamy reverbed synth melodies serving as a perfect base for these passionate vocals, building a groovy room in your head where you can explore the sound.

With all little details happening in there, the track is exactly like a toy store is for kids. Every other second there’s something interesting happening, and you find yourself exploring the tune. Even when put on repeat you’ll find something new in the track every time you hear it. I love when a sound stays so versatile, it clearly shows that nothing in there was ‘just put in’ but was carefully placed and processed to have a maxed effect on the listener. Those vocal one-shots add depth and tension, the slow and methodic rhythm brings a might groove to the table, and the vocals are adding a melancholic dreamy flavor. With a great balanced mix, there’s nothing harsh happening in the track, this grants the tune an ultra-chilled and laid back glow. Taking its time not rushing anything, the song feels like a relaxing soundtrack of a perfect evening.
