Track Review

With those awesome energetic and confident vocals merging into the arpeggiated synth environment, the new release of singer/songwriter ASTRINA creates an awesome wide-spaced dreamy atmosphere.

Although the beat is quite a basic one, the track really feels like it was created to pick you up from the ground. The uplifting basic setting triggers something in me, it’s like there was a certain kind of ‘get up’ energy hidden between the single tracks.

While the vocals not pressing anything nor screaming, they DO feel very intense in their own special fashion. Ever heard a mother telling her child when it’s enough in that special calm way? It’s that dangerous sub-tone that tells the kid it crossed the line. While listening to ‘War’, I felt partly like that child. You clearly hear that it is enough now. It’s plain awesome if someone has that effect without leaving the normal tone range. Plus it’s plain awesome if that same someone can switch gears and sound emotional-melancholic just seconds later. For me, the vocals are really not to put into a category boundaries. It is this mysterious glow along the electro setting is what makes the new release of ASTRINA so irresistible.
