Gestört aber GeiL – Wünsch Dir was

Time to get to the main floor, folks.

I thought I knew that basic melody in there… taken from a 1993 punk rock release of the band known as ‘Die Toten Hosen’, the embedded childrens choir theme sets the tone of the energetic electro track. What I love about this new release of the german producer Duo Gestört aber GeiL is the simplicity. While the listener can identify some single tracks, the track never feels empty or flat, those chopped vocal one-shots are being used along those moving risers or during the dance parts of the track while the calm moments in there feel like waves going back and fourth. The beat is defensive enough to not slap you off the floor but driving to get you moving in no time. The used synths are feeling warm, and the vocals are done soft and innovative.

The mix of the track is rock solid, you won’t find any glitches whatsoever in there, and imagine this tune being sent over a massive main floor, you’ll have a ton of dancing people there. The sound is melodic, lightweight and uplifting. Plus it triggers a bit of nostalgia in old guys like me.
