Stu Larsen – Phone Call From My Lover

Backed by a guitar and minimal percussion, the new release of singer/songwriter Stu Larsen floods the room with an awesome melancholic vibe. The vocals are done honest and passionate, telling its story in a calm, down-to-earth way.

‘Phone Call from My Lover’ biggest ace up its sleeve is its credibility. I am sure that the song is dear to the artist, simply because the story is told in this honest, calm fashion. This makes the tune ultra-believable to me. Anybody who ever fell in love only to get his or her heart broken can relate to what’s being told in the song. Sometimes life is hard (especially during times of heartache), but having tunes like this one out there is bringing some remedy to the table. The tune not only contains melancholy, for me there’s a positive vibe to find as well. Like the song would hug you, telling you that everything is going to be okay eventually. You know me folks, if an artist manages to trigger feelings with his/her music with THIS load of emotion, I am a fan. And that’s why I love the new track of Stu Larsen.
