Daydrives – Smile for the Camera

With a lightweight and warm approach, the newest release of Daydrives makes me smile. Not necessarily for the camera, but for the good vibes.

The track starts with a well balanced warm synth and some retro organ-ish chords as a base for those honest vocals of Nashville based singer/songwriter/producer Andrew Pacheco, better known as Daydrives. The most important thing of these vocals is this emotional honesty which fits perfectly in this warm, summer-ish feelgood flair the track brings along.

Everything in “Smile for the Camera” feels just about right where it is. For some reason, this chilled and laid back track makes me think about the next vacation. These lightweight melodies and the warm groove make me forget about the cold weather outside. This track is the perfect soundtrack while I wait for the summer.
